RM50,000 just for these two pages worth of craps?

It's no more secrets that UiTM Vice Chancellor published/posted some self-congratulatory advertisments in the media, boasting UiTM as world-class universities.

But I certainly did not know that UiTM spent RM50,000 just to put up two pages of full-color advertisement in a local newspaper, claiming itself "world class universities."


And is the student intake of UiTM based of Meritocracy? Bull Shits. Our VC of UiTM must have gone nutsssss! I know it sounds like a joke, but it isnt.

Penanti by-election 31st May, Nomination 23rd May.

The election commission announced that the Penanti poll, following the resignation of Fairuz, will be held at 31st May 2009. Nomination day falls on 23rd May, meaning there will be 8 Days in between the two events.

Muhammad Fairuz Khairuddin left the Penang state seat vacant after a series of corruption allegations thrown to him, which eventually all cleared by the anti corruption agency.

Personally I still believe Fairuz is clean and innocent...
Anyhow, PKR should stop their internal strife against each other in the party, because they are the only hope we have to form a new government in the future.

Private College, a Good Choice for SPM graduates?

Private College. If this is the top choice for you besides JPA scholarships and Matrikulasi, or if you think Private colleges pre U programs can help you save one or two months or even one year of extra studies, better think about it again. Please note that I'm not trying to criticize or to pick on private colleges because of prejudice. I am merely pointing out WHY SPM graduates should think twice before making private colleges as their priority for further studies.

What you're about to read in this post later are my honest and unbiased opinions towards private colleges in Malaysia. To me, Private colleges is a good choice for STPM students who failed to get the courses they desired in local public universities, but certainly not for SPM graduates. Let's see why.


Ridiculously Expensive Tution Fees

Your friends/ private unis "promoters" may tell you...:

“Government can lend us money through PTPTN one lah! No worries lah!”
“ Haiya, UTAR got give away 100% scholarships for Pre U studies, if you get 9 As and above!”
“ Very cheap only lah… Can borrow money, somemore father mother can give pocket money, why not?”

I wish to remind anyone here whose parents are not that rich, THINK carefully before you make your decision to study in private colleges. PTPTN can certainly lend you a generous amount of money, but do not forget it is not for free. You have to pay for the interests and the installment you have to pay can stretch up to as far as 30 years. ( for Pre U fees + degree tuition fees)

Imagine YOU paying installment every month after you graduate from colleges until you’re 50 years old. Scary? And again, this is a fact. I’ve seen some of my friends whose families are not so wealthy, they spend up to/more than 1500ringgit per month for food and lodgings alone, and some even spend money lavishly at night clubs or internet as if they have only 1 lecture per week.

Bear in mind that this amount (approx 1000 ringgit per month) is food and lodgings ONLY, tuition fees not included. I can’t help but to feel sad for their parents, who work 12 hours a day and spare half of their income to support their children whom they thought are studying hard and are receiving top class education in colleges.

The story doesn’t end here. After Pre U in private college, where can you go for your degree? It is either Overseas or stay back in private colleges. For rich kids, yes, no problems. Some are rich enough to do 1 year of Pre U course and fly to UK Australia straight away for their degrees. But as I said, for those who’re not that rich, there is another few years for your parents (if not you) to suffer. All these would not happen to a form six or a local university students as the tuition fees for local universities is approximately 10 times LESS than the tuition fees of private colleges. (this is a fact!)

Do not get cheated by those advertisements which tell you that you are entitled a FREE Pre U course. Think about the degree. Very often the Pre U cost a little, but the tuition fees for degree courses can squeeze blood out of you.
( I’ve just seen a junior failing to get the scholarships she wanted so badly as advertised by the private college. Another victim)



Degree?

Thinking of getting a degree? Doing a Pre U program without continuing degree is useless. Once you have done your Pre U program at private colleges, you have only two choices: Continue your degree at PRIVATE COLLEGES, or at Overseas Universities. There is no way you can get into local university because the chance for that to happen is extremely small. And again, unless your dad owns big business or is a good friend of UMNO big shots, then going overseas would be quite impossible and your only choice is to stay back in that college for the rest of your degree.



Quality?

I had a friend who told me why he chose to study at private college after SPM.
The reason was “ Aiya, form six teachers all very lousy one lar!.... I do A level in XXXXX college sure the lecturers are better than them lar…”

Lecturers? Yea.. Of course it sounds a lot more glamorous than ‘form six teachers’. But only after a few months I spotted him hiding in the corner of my school’s lecture hall, listening to the lecture conducted by our chemistry teacher, Chua Yok Ten. He admitted that those “lecturers” are sucks. Another friend of mine studying in UXXX, told me that his English Language Lecturer couldn’t even speak English fluently. At first I doubt what he said, some other friends testified it. By hiring some jobless fresh graduates or part time job seekers as their lecturers, I believe private colleges can save a lot and earn a lot more. Well, of course, I’m not saying that EVERY lecturer teaching at private colleges sucks. But there are many of them, especially those who conduct Pre U lectures and programs. The stories of my friends experience at Private Collges doing Pre University programs DOES make sense. The number of Pre University programs students, mostly SPM graduates, are demanding even more teaching forces. It is not surprising that colleges that offer you 'scholarships' to do Pre U programs NOT being able to hire top quality lecturers.



Facility?

How much better the facilities a rich Taukeh of a private college can offer you compared to what our GOVERNMENT can give you?

Some people say Nilai Inti is super big..The area is super large, the facilities are super new. But hey, it is still smaller than UKM, UPM , UMS, UniMas ok? Government spent millions of ringgit each year to support EACH local university. Grants for research purposes worth millions of ringgits are poured into local public uni by the government to make sure that students of local uni receive the best. What about private colleges? Do you want me to believe that a super large private college can afford state-of-the-art technologies for education purposes?

Wake up wake up, private college is an INDUSTRY; it has little to do with education!

Low Cost ( cheap manpower, cheap facilities)
High income ( of course get tuition fees from you lar)
= Industry of Private education. Accept it. It’s a fact that its an INDUSTRY.


College life?

When a private college tries to cut cost, do you think they will fund any extracurricular student activities? Big projects or vital research? Unless they're sponsored by government or overseas governments like AIMST University and Nottingham (Nottingham's suckks money though!)

The answer is a BIG NO.

So, what’s about college life besides studying?
Clubbing loh! Dota loh! Somemore? Internet café lor! If not, shopping loh!

Is this the “college life” you are really looking forward to enjoy?
I want to stress here that I do not mean ALL private college students will go clubbing or drinking or smoking or whatever it is, but SPM graduates who are still very young TEND TO get distracted by all these things in places like KL or Shah Alam. Even in Penang, some of my friends become kaki clubbing, and before that, they were nerdssssss at schools.

I must admit there are a few colleges/private universities which are in close collaboration with the government, and they're doing quite well for particular fields ONLY, not all, and not most of them. IMU is famous for its medicine and pharmacy studies, AIMST is famous for its top-class facilities for medical studies, for example. However, these are only for degrees, remember that Pre U programs in private colleges certainly do not offer enough of knowledge, quality experience and fun that a student supposed to have.

I know, that Pre U programs in private colleges has become so popular among SMJK students, that even those UMNO faggots claimed that private colleges are custom-made for non bumiputras.. So according to their reasoning, non bumiputras should not make noise when UiTM offer places for Indonesian but NOT for Chinese and Indians. See how ridiculous things have become? Tell them that we all are Malaysians, we want to get into local public universities!

You can voice out to the government by actions, studying in government institution and fighting to get into public universities. We want our share as Malaysians, in every course at every public university.

Why is STPM a Phobia to SPM Graduates?

This article is written regarding the drastic decrease in the popularity of STPM as the choice for SPM graduates to further their studies.

STPM. Why STPM?

Is it hard? Is it easy to pass?
Do we gain alot of knowledge in STPM studies?

But one thing for sure, STPM is longer in the wish-list of SPM graduates like before. It has become a phobia to so many nowadays that the number of STPM students throughout the country has dropped significantly in these few years of time. Why is this happening? We shall look into this problem to its root of the problem, and whether you agree with me or not, all these I'm about to say are the facts.

If you listen to your dad or mom, for those who were well educated, they will boast how hard it was to sit for HSC(High School Certificate, now STPM); and for those who did not receive much education due to bad times years ago, they'll encourage the new generation to go for STPM. Some called it the " 11th Class". We have seen so many seniors especially from SMJKs like Jit Sin, Chung Ling, Sam Tek, producing top scholars every year, and the number of students scoring a 4 flat results (4.0 CGPA) had never stopped rising by each year. And of course, that doesnt mean that excellent results in STPM is easy to score.

Just a few years before I entered secondary school, our STPM seniors were still taking 5 subjects, in this case, science student would be required to register for Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Pengajian Am. Now, only 4 subjects are made compulsory for the 'regular' science or commerce students. When I was so small that I didnt even know what STPM is, I had heard people wishing to get into STPM, but not until the industry of Private Colleges started to blossom.

The reason is simple, because government would not support non-bumiputra student in any other means besides STPM. MARA colleges, UiTM, Matrikulasi, MARA scholarships and even JPA scholarships are heavily 'protected' by the quota system. To me the quota system has already crippled our education system because there is not a healthy competition among new generations. Although not all, I can say most of the qualified non-bumiputra students are indirectly being 'filtered out' from the local university even before they manage to enter Pre University round. The only option our seniors had then was STPM. STPM is hard, at least, for me and my cohort as science students in form six. That is a fact. That is why Matrikulasi is there to 'educate' bumiputra students so that they can secure a place in the local university Without having to compete with STPM students.

All along students have struggled so hard to pass STPM. I'm not being boastful or what, but STPM is practically one of the hardest Pre university exam available in Malaysia, if not in the world. You can do a very simple comparison between the syllabus of STPM and the syllabus of ANY OTHER PRE U Program, AND, dont forget to try out the actual STPM papers as well.

In the midst of fear for not being able to score well in STPM, (so that to get into university eventually), private colleges came into 'rescue'.

KDU, Inti, Sedaya, Taylor, UTAR, PSDC, IMU, AIMST, Binary, Curtin Sarawak, Nottingham, Disted-Stamford..... These are only the BIG ones. What about hundreds of other 'micro-colleges'? Why the heck does Malaysia needs this number of private colleges? Who are these colleges catering for if not Malaysians? It was just recently that these private colleges started to enjoy rising popularity among oversea-rich-kids-from-saudi-china-and-africa. That is also another reason why big colleges like KDU and Inti can afford to set up their branches in a few states in Malaysia.

These colleges are practically squeezing money out of the desperate SPM graduates who certainly didnt want to study STPM, and did not have any other alternatives to further their studies through government institution. These SPM graduates mostly consist of non-bumiputras, and they have only two choices, STPM or private colleges. Few had the chance to make it into Matrikulasi or to get JPA scholarships that offer only 10% of its places to non-bumiputras. UiTM? Forget about it. It’s for Indonesians and bumiputras only.

For your information, critical courses in local universities like Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy have LESS than 10 % of STPM graduates in each of the courses. Believe it.It's a FACT.

Instead of gambling their future by studying form six that is a lot harder compared to their competitors like MARA college and Matrikulasi, many opted for private colleges in order to pursue their dreams. But sadly, not every parents are rich enough to do that. And obviously NOT EVERYONE who went to private colleges knew that their future holds. I'm sure that, many college students overestimated what their private colleges can fulfill them.

Why is that SPM graduates seem to resist STPM so much? And why has the number of STPM students steadily decrease every single year? WHY.

I presume that you and I knew who the culprit is.

Still don’t get it? Besides the government’s effort to sideline STPM graduates, another obvious factor is the booming of Private College Industry.

Former Deputy CM of Penang Resigns

The ex-deputy Chief Minister of Penang has finally issued his resignation letter from his state representative (ADUN) post, which is effective on 16th April 2009.

Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin also said in the official statement that his resignation is due to his plan to continue his further study and also to "clean" himself of the corruption allegations.

This would mean another by-election in Penanti within 60 days' time.

What's After SPM? Your Stories Are NEEDED!

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 30th April 2009!

Project What's After SPM: A Hundred Different Journeys

One book. One hundred stories.
For you. For hundreds of thousands of Malaysian youths.

(Yes you heard that right - hundreds of thousands of readers!)

For most of us, the end of secondary school education (or the lack of it) marked a turning point in our lives where we moved from studying together under an umbrella education system (SPM) to embarking upon vastly different pathways.

The transition process for the more fortunate among us would no doubt have been aided by the various resources made available to us: school counselors, advice from worried parents and knowledgeable seniors, counsel from helpful relatives, visits to campus open day sessions, mountainous stacks of college brochures, education sections in local newspapers, education resource websites etc.

The same, however, cannot be said of hundreds of thousands of kids all over Malaysia who have no regular access to the internet, are not blessed with well-informed family and friends, and who complete secondary school with little or almost no awareness of the opportunities that abound for them, as well as kids who are simply ignorant of the opportunities that surround them or just do not possess the faith and self-confidence to pursue their passions.

Therefore, we have decided to spearhead this project in hopes of reaching those kids and sending them this message: "Look, kids, now that you have completed secondary school, there are a million opportunities out there for you, a million pathways that you can undertake, a million places to visit, and you should explore those choices as much as you can. You can do anything you set your mind to. All it takes is keyakinan, a little bit of strategi, a little bit of tuah, and lots and lots of semangat dan usaha."

We are now looking for a plethoric collection of stories of young Malaysians who have pursued different pathways after SPM. The stories will be published in a book to be distributed to as many students and secondary schools as possible (tentative target: to distribute at least 2 books to each of the 5000 secondary schools in Malaysia). And we would like to invite you to participate in this project by submitting your story, or persuading your friends to submit their stories.

It does not matter whether you are a scholar with stellar results and a 3-inch thick resume, a typical student who went to a local university after finishing Form 6, or a youth who has to work in the pasar malam at night to foot your technical college fees in the day. It does not matter whether you have chosen the oft-beaten path or the road less travelled. We believe that there every education background offers its own boons and banes. And we believe that there are merits in telling any story.

Topics

Participants may touch on all or concentrate on a few of the following topics:

(a) What socioeconomic/education background did you come from and how did it contribute towards making you the person that you are today?

(b) What obstacles did you face in pursuing tertiary education and how did you overcome those obstacles?

(c) What prompted/who inspired you to pursue the pathway that you have undertaken/are currently undertaking?

(d) How did you find out about the pathway that you have undertaken/ are currently undertaking?

(e) What are the advantages and disadvantages of pursuing the pathway that you have taken/are currently undertaking?

(f) If you have had had a unique education background, please elaborate on your unusual circumstances (Examples: kampung boy who ended up in Yale University/home-schooled girl who faced difficulty persuading university admissions officers to admit her/student who pursued cosmological astrophysics at Cambridge under the prestigious Gates Scholarship/teenager who dropped out of school and pursued full-time modelling/youth who took a gap year after SPM to participate in humanitarian missions in Tibet/boy who has worked as a professional computer hacker since age 14/youth who entered a seminary to pursue priesthood/student who designed a new degree course at Smith College).

(g) If you have succeeded in securing a rare/prestigious scholarship/ undergone a rigorous university application process (Examples: Kofi Annan International Scholarship), please elaborate on the application process.

(h) What advice would you give to someone who hopes to pursue the same pathway that you have undertaken/are currently undertaking?

(i) How was the experience at your previous/current place of study and how has it changed your life? If you have had a non-academic pursuit (s) (establishing your own restaurant/working full-time as a social worker etc), how has your pursuit impacted other people?

(j) Is there any other issue regarding post-SPM education that you wish to discuss? What other pertinent advice would you give to someone who is about to complete SPM/secondary school?

Reminder: Remember that the purpose of writing your story is not to flaunt your achievements, but to share your unique experiences with your readers. as you write, rememebr to try to retain the relevancy between your experience and the reader's interest.

Participation rules

1. Participants must be Malaysian citizens.

2. Participants must be of age 35 or below as of 2009. (We have changed the age limit from 30 to 35, as of 13th March 2009).

3. Each entry will consist of a photo (to be printed in black & white), an introduction blurb written in 3rd person perspective and a main article written in 1st person perspective.

4. The introduction blurb is to be between 30-50 words, and must mention the participant's age and place(s) of study/pursuit (see below for examples).

5. The main article is to be between 600-800 words.

6. All articles are to be written in English. Participants who struggle with English may write in Malay/Chinese and have their articles translated by the committee members.

7. Articles may be edited for clarity, brevity and/or intelligibility, though the committee will strive not to tamper them.

8. All participants must use their real names. Pseudonyms will not be allowed.

9. About 100 entries will be selected for publishing. The committee's decisions will be final.

10. Photos may be of any style as long as it shows the participant's face, though black & white photos will be preferred as the book will be published in black & white.

11. All participants will retain the copyright of their articles and photos.

12. All entires are to be sent to whatsafterspm@gmail.com.

He spends his free time coaching orphans in football for free. He also owns a personal collection of jerseys autographed by over 50 Manchester United players, and wants the Devils to reclaim the English Premier League


(b) Tee Le Yin, 26, a former national swimmer and philately enthusiast, studied A Level at Hwa Chong Institution, Singapore under the ASEAN scholarship prior to pursuing War Studies in King's College, UK. The former national swimmer is currently pursuing her MBA at INSEAD, France under the Maxis scholarship.

Book specifications

1. The book will be printed in black & white to minimise production cost and market price.
2. The book will be between 200-300 pages thick.
3. The book will be published by end of 2009.

Royalty/Payment

1. As this is a community service project, none of the participants, project committee members and project advisors will receive any form of royalty or payment.

2. A fund raising campaign will be held later to raise money for the project. However, all excess funds will go towards distributing the books to students and secondary schools for free.

Contribute

1. We would greatly appreciate anyone who wishes to contribute towards our publishing fees.

2. We also welcome anyone who wishes to help in translating the book into Chinese and Malay after the first edition of the book goes into print.

Maxis Undergraduate Scholarships - For STPM / A-Level Graduates

If either you or your parents are the Maxis postpaid subscriber, then this might be the one for you. Two rounds of interviews will be conducted for those who succeeded in first round of selection.

The criteria for this scholarships is quite simple:

• STPM - minimum 3 As or
• Matriculation / Diploma - CGPA 3.5 or above or
• A Levels - minimum 3 As or
• Australian TER - minimum 90.0 or
• Recognised foundation/Pre-university courses – equivalent to CGPA 3.5 or above or
• Current 1st or 2nd year university students must have a CGPA of 3.5 or above

Other requirements:

• Possess a good command of the English language, both written and oral;
• Team player;
• Excel in extra-curricular activities and sports; and
• Possess leadership qualities.

Applicants must be Malaysian citizens aged below 23 years old.

Applicants must not be bonded to any body and must have secured an unconditional offer letter from a local or foreign university prior to receiving the Maxis Undergraduate Scholarship award. Applicants currently in their 1st or 2nd year of undergraduate studies may also apply.

The local or foreign university must be recognised by the Public Services Department of Malaysia. For local universities, there is no restriction to field of studies; for foreign universities, preferred field of studies are those related to the telecommunications industry.

STPM Results 2008 (2)

6 students scored 4.0 CGPA in SMJK Jit SIn Highschool for 2008's STPM, and one of them is Pei Hoon! Congrats! And Chow Chia Eu managed to score 5As and emerged as one of the best student in Penang! Congrats! And same to Yun Lee, Congrats!

However, overall results of STPM students all over the country this year recorded a significant decrease in term of the number of students scoring 4.0 CGPA. One thing to blame, PRIVATE COLLEGES!

Khir Toyo Sounds FISHY

Instead of standing out against privacy invasion on Elizabeth Wong recently, Khir Toyo, the ex Menteri Besar put more pressure on the victim to resign from her current post.

Khir Toyo was infamous for his false allegation against Teresa Kwok, and had incited riots and protest against Teresa last year. Khir also spread false rumours through Utusan that has undermined the foundation unity of Malaysians. He manipulated issues on Islam, Race, and now SEX, to put somebody into trouble.

His defamation towards Teresa Kwok had caused enough hurt and anger to the people, and now he sounds a little bit fishy by urging Elizabeth Wong to resign regarding the nude photos issue.

Khir looks like a teddy bear, physically, but the heart stinks like rotten fish.

Najib Proved Himself a Corrupt PM-to-be

Can we trust this man to rule Malaysia?

I mentioned in the last posting that Najib would do anything to lure Pakatan Rakyat's state assemblymen to cross over, by any form or way, even though it may cost us the people a very expensive price tag.

Three Pakatan Rakyat's state assemblymen have voiced out their support for Barisan Nasional yesterday, after being approached by Najib.

Somebody sent Saiful to throw false allegations on Anwar's court case.

If Najib can bribe voters and even reporters in Kuala Terengganu by-election using taxpayer's cash, why not these three?

Najib may be able to win Perak back to Barisan Nasional, but he sold his very last dignity left for him to be our Prime Minister in the future.

Being involved in Altantuya murder case and many other corruption allegations, espcially in firearm deals, this man is nothing less than a bribed and corrupted racist like his father, Razak.

Remember how his powercrazy father get to become the second PM of Malaysia? Plotted racial clash then followed by forcing Abdul Rahman of his seat, lawlessly.

Malaysians will never forget all these stinking records of your family, we will neither forgive them.

Najib's wife has been exposed that she shipped back all her luxuries during a shopping spree in UK by MAS, at the expense of Malaysian Embassy in London.

Two By-elections in 60 Days

Two state seats of Perak have been left vacant today after the State Speaker, Sivakumar received resignation letters from both Behrang and Changkat Jering state assemblymen.

Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu and Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi were earlier involved in a bribery and sex scandal and were said to have been approached by Najib (Barisan Nasional), and being offered a chance to clean themselves of the serious court charges.

This is perhaps the one last chance for Barisan Nasional to seize down two state seats from Pakatan Rakyat following the rumours of more UMNO assemblymen to cross-over to the ruling party of Perak.

These two fellas could have been given two choices by Barisan Nasional, one to crossover to BN, another one which is to create by-elections by resigning from their current political posts.
The federal government obviously has nothing at all to lose, and this outcome of this incident might favour Barisan Nasional MORE as they will, again, use hundreds of millions ringgit of taxpayers money, and injecting them into these by-elections like what they had done in Kuala Terengganu.

They might even bribed the reporters or voters once more, this time maybe with even more money and "gifts" or " incentives". Who knows what a mad dog would do next right?

Nasarudin Joins Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR)

The cross-over of ADUN Bota(Perak), Nasarudin from UMNO to PKR has been confirmed in Anwar Ibrahim's blog today, after the former UMNO member posted a press address for immediate release to the media, publicly.

This cross-over has led Pakatan Rakyat to further strengthen their authority with 32 state seats, after a period of uncertainty whether they could still hold on in Perak, and Barisan Nasional 27 seats.

It's tiring to see a small number of the opposition party MPs threatening to leave their parties since 308.

Perak Opposition MPs used to have such problems before this, but have already been settled. And each time those people bark around wanting to leave their parties, believe me, they're just acting around. They're like threatening their boss for not giving them enough benefits I guess?

Excuse has been given by Manika why he wanted to quit PKR, through The Star. But you see, The Star has always been a government-controlled press that has just proven so in the recent KitSiang-TeeKiat issue. The Star had obviously sided Barisan Nasional(TeeKiat) by reporting the reply from the MInister, while had totally filtered out replies from KitSiang(DAP).

Manikam could have been presuaded by BN already to create tension among Pakatan Rakyat's members. That is another reason why this fella is using The Star as a medium to "voice out" his "point of views".

Two possibilities here,
1. Manikam quit Pakatan Rakyat and join Barisan Nasional immediately,and be given a post.

2. Most probably, he wont move a step away from his party at all !

Zaid Ibrahim Sacked

Latest updates from UMNO supreme council; the resigned ex-minister Zaid Ibrahim has been sacked from the party after attending KeAdiLan's party gathering last Saturday. Besides, Zaid had also written a letter to Prime Minister, Abdullah Badawi earlier to urge the government to abolish ISA. UMNO considered these rebellious acts as unacceptable actions and hence, Zaid is now officially sacked from UMNO. The decision made my UMNO supreme council is final and cannot be appealed.


Other than that, Zahar Hashim, the head of UMNO Petaling Jaya Selatan division was ordered to have his party membership frozen for 3 years, but without proper reasons why he deserves such punishments.

Zahar Hashim was responsible for uncovering Najib's suspicious EuroCopter deal which had cost government to pay more for the machines. Besides Zahar had also reported to the Anti-corruption Agency on Prime Minister Abdullah abuse of power in the party election.


Mukhriz suggested that Chinese and Tamil schools should be closed down and replaced with SMK. He has reveal his true color which is no difference from his Daddy, Mahathir who had implemented racist policies throughout his regin before PM Abdullah Badawi took over his place as UMNO president. Say No to Racism. Say no to Mahathir ! Say no to UMNO!

Deputy Education Minister of Malaysia Dies

It's sad to announce that our Deputy Education Minister of Malaysia has passed away just now at 6.30 p.m., and according to reliable sources, this tragic accident happened while he was playing badminton.


He collapsed on the badminton court, and eventually failed to be resuscitated.

Razali was the only fellow who replied to my JPA scholarships appeal letter; the rest of the ministers just ignored it. Too bad.

Rest in Peace mate. Life is just so unpredictable.

Raja Petra to be Freed

Raja Petra Kamaruddin is to be freed this afternoon(4pm) after Shah Alam High Court ruled that the detention of the detention of the famous blogger under ISA is Illegal and against the constitution. An order for immediate release of RPK has been issued, which means the second appeal for Habeas Corpus by RPK has been a success.

The high court judge Syed Ahmad Helmy also said in the verdict, that the action taken by the infamous liar minister Syed Hamid Alba to detain RPK is unlawful, and this shows that he had total disregard for the Law of Malaysia.

"The reason for the detention of RPK given by the Minister(Alba) does not have any regards with the authority within Internal Security Act no.(8). Ministers have to carry out their duty lawfully. Any illegal orders or activities will not be protected by the ouster clause." Syed Ahmad Helmy said.

To me personally, Syed Hamid told lies, and the worst of all he abused his power as a minister to put false allegations on people they "think" are "national threats".

More than 50 RPK's supporters gathered outside the highcourt today together with his wife Mariana Lee, cheering at the judge's brave decision to go against the will of the government, which is not a norm in the jurisdiction of Malaysia in the older days.

Pres. Obama on January 20

By winning a strong majority here in this election, Obama hurdled over another myth that, the American Black can never become the US president.

He conquered Florida, Ohio, Colorado(home of the religious right), and also Virginia(was a 40-years-republican strong hold), in which all of the them are the victories that had led Obama towards the White House.

Obama also gave a triumphant speech to the crowd after winning the race to the White House ,“Young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled, Americans have sent a message to the world that we have never been just a collection of red states and blue states,”

“We have been and always will be the United States of America. "
“It’s been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America,” he said these when faced with an excited gigantic crowd.

The people of America has changed their own destiny by electing an American Black as their country's President, and this made me wonder WHEN will our country progress into a less racism era, and WHEN will the mentality of Malaysian will change with it.

Ban Utusan, Not Hindraf

Government caused further furore in the Indian and non-Indian communities by banning Hindraf. Hindraf was an organisation which aimed at voicing out the voices of Malaysian Indians, but was declared illegal by the Barisan National government yesterday.

However, and suprisingly, after the ISA hunting spree(caused by irresponsible reports in UTUSAN) few weeks ago, Utusan Malaysia tried to provoke racial tension again, by publishing articles that constantly defamed Teresa Kok, insulting her as the "Queen of Dogs". Besides, whats even more disgusting about this "pencetus minda" (mind-provoking) press Utusan is that they published a cold-blooded novel that used YB J (indicating YB Josephine) as main characters. In that story, eventually, YB Josephine was assasinated. Chamil Wariya, the "novelist" responsible for producing that racist novel, wanted to make fame for himself, and at the same time undermining that little bit of trust left among all races in Malaysia.

I do not understand whether these writers are cheapskate story tellers or real columnists. These incidents have again proved that Utusan has been used by the Barisan National to launch personal attacks against the opposition parties. Utusan Malaysia is a press that report fake news, mostly fabricated by the columnist and reporters themselves. They want to instil hate and anger in the Malay communities in Malaysia by using PIGS, DOGS as their themes in attacking non-Muslim opposition leaders.

They want to create this intense situation, so that the Malays would feel insecure, afraid of trusting non-Malays anymore. They insulted non-Muslims using vulgar words, and UTUSAN THINKS IT IS HALAL TO DO THAT. I guess the Utusan and its extreme columnists are merely a bunch of low-class guard Dogs waiting to bark at Barisan's enemies. Cheers doggies. WOOF!

Petrol Price Drops 15sen, Diesel 20sen

The decrease of fuel price will be in effect tomorrow. So, the new fuel price would be RM2.30 for unleaded 97 petrol. Diesel price dropped to RM2.20.

"Najib - Shafee" SMS Allegations

Even though Raja Petra is still in captivity under ISA in Kamunting, MalaysiaToday did not cease to reveal shocking news about the Altantuya murder case.

This time it is the Short Messaging Service (SMS) sent between these two people, Najib and Shafee was being posted up in MalaysiaToday website. Shafee was the famous Lawyer for Razak Baginda ( the third accused in AltantuyaMurder Case), but was changed later.

In the entry "Abuse of Power by The Deputy Prime Minister" in RPK's blog, Najib's conversation with Shafee in SmS-es was recorded with exact time and date. In the "conversation", "Najib" was trying to interfere the trial of Altantuya Murder Case.

Dennis Lim, the director of all the MilMilxx videos in the YouTube and also a current JitSin sixth former, was once my childhood friend back in Grace Church more than 10 years ago. I did not keep in touch with him until I noticed his video production in YouTube one day, and I thought to myself, "Man, dont tell me these are his videos!?"

Erm.. Seriously, his mother looks as young as I used to see her ten years back, but Dennis....? All I can say is time flies! He is now no play play OLEDI! haha

Yes, Dennis was already directing his own movies when I met him last year, mostly short videos portraying the contemporary schoolboy and his daily life. And now he is already progressing into fabricating quality comedies that will make its viewers burst into laughters. Besides, from some of his self-recorded videos, Dennis exhibited his passion and talent in musics; in which are must-watch Vids for Piano lovers.

You might wonder why Dennis Lim uses "milmilxx" as his name in YouTube. Dennis is the director of all his videos, but what about the crews and the cameraman? A Letter To PM ~ by Zaid Ibrahim

THe first ever Malaysian cabinet member to resign due to disagreement to the administration has written a letter to our PM, Abdullah, to urge him not to hesitate in abolishing the misused ISA (Internal Security Act) before his expected step-down in the near future.

According to Zaid, by doing this, PM can at least do something that all Malaysians will remember forever before ending his own career as the head of Malaysia.

I do not have time to translate it into English version, so below is a copy of what Zaid has mentioned in his letter to the PrimeMinister of Malaysia.

Sewaktu mengisytiharkan kemerdekaan negara, Perdana Menteri pertama kita telah melaungkan aspirasi dan mimpi indah rakyat Malaya: bahawa Malaya adalah diasaskan di atas prinsip-prinsip kebebasan dan keadilan serta di atas janji bahawa kita beramai-ramai akan sentiasa berjuang bagi meningkatkan lagi kebajikan dan kebahagiaan rakyatnya.Bertahun telah berlalu sejak peristiwa penting itu berlangsung, namun aspirasi dan mimpi tersebut masih benar dan masih relevan kepada kita hari ini sepertimana ia benar dan relevan kepada kita sebelum ini. Ini dimungkinkan dengan adanya satu pegangan teguh terhadap asas-asas negara pada peringkat awal kewujudannya. Perlembagaan Persekutuan dan undang-undang yang dibuat sehubungan dengannya diletakkan di atas asas yang kukuh di mana ia menggabungkan elemen-elemen penting demokrasi yang dibina di atas Kedaulatan Undang-Undang.

Satu ketika dahulu, Kehakiman Malaysia sangat dihormati oleh warga Malaysia malah turut dijadikan panduan oleh negara-negara lain. Perdana Menteri-Perdana Menteri kita yang terdahulu, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Razak and Tun Hussein Onn, adalah pemimpin-pemimpin yang sangat berintegriti, adalah pejuang-pejuang mengikut cara mereka yang tersendiri dan, yang paling penting sekali, adalah individu-individu yang serba sederhana. Mereka mempunyai kepercayaan terhadap prinsip-prinsip dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam Perlembagaan kita dan membina negara ini berpandukan kepadanya.Tatkala mereka terpaksa meluluskan Akta Keselamatan Dalam Negeri (ISA), 1960, sekalipun mereka melakukannya dengan sangat berhati-hati dan dengan bersikap apologetic mengenainya. Tunku menyatakan dengan jelas bahawa tujuan Akta ini diluluskan adalah bagi menangani ancaman komunis.

'Saya dan rakan-rakan saya dalam kabinet berjanji kepada Parlimen dan kepada negara bahawa kuasa-kuasa luas yang diberikan kepada Kerajaan di bawah ISA tidak sesekali akan digunakan bagi mengekang bangkangan dan ketidaksetujuan yang dibuat mengikut undang-undang' adalah apa yang diucapkan oleh Tunku dahulu. Ketetapan ini dikukuhkan lagi kemudiannya oleh Perdana Menteri ketiga kita, Tun Hussein Onn, yang menyatakan bahawa ISA bukanlah dimaksudkan untuk mengekang bangkangan politik yang dibuat secara sah atau untuk menyekat aktiviti demokrasi rakyat.Beberapa peristiwa yang berlaku tiga minggu lepas bagaimanapun telah memaksa saya mengkaji semula cara ISA digunakan. Sungguh menyedihkan sekali kerana kesimpulan yang saya perolehi darinya ialah bahawa Kerajaan telah berulang-ulang kali menghampakan rakyat negara ini dengan berulang-ulang kali juga memungkiri janji yang dibuat oleh Tunku Abdul Rahman tersebut.

Ini berlaku kerana Kerajaan dan undang-undang yang digubalnya telah dengan secara tidak betul memberi kuasa kepada Menteri Dalam Negeri untuk menahan sesiapa sahaja atas apa sahaja alasan yang difikirkannya perlu. Budi bicara yang subjektif ini telah disalahgunakan bagi menjaga kepentingan-kepentingan politik tertentu.Sejarah adalah guru agung yang dapat menjelaskan banyak perkara dalam hal ini. Semakan sepintas lalu ke atas cara ISA digunakan sejak ia diluluskan sekalipun akan mendedahkan betapa tujuan asal ISA telah dikesampingkan oleh keperluan politik semasa.

Adalah dikesali yang Tunku Abdul Rahman sendiri pun telah memungkiri janjinya. Pada 1965, pentadbirannya telah menahan Burhanuddin Helmi, iaitu seorang intelektual Melayu yang cukup hebat dan seorang nasionalis yang kebetulannya juga turut menjadi seorang pemimpin PAS. Dia telah diletakkan dalam tahanan sehingga dia meninggal dunia pada 1969.
Helmi hanyalah seorang musuh politik dan tidak dapat dibayangkan yang dia boleh dikatakan terlibat dalam pemberontakan bersenjata atau komunisme yang ISA dirangka untuk menangani. Penahanannya ini adalah sesuatu yang menyimpang dan menjadi satu detik menyedihkan di mana kepentingan politik telah dibenarkan mengatasi Kedaulatan Undang-Undang.

Ia malangnya seakan menjadi satu 'precedent' dan banyak lagi penahanan ke atas individu-individu yang dianggap menjadi ancaman kepada pentadbiran waktu itu menyusulinya tahun demi tahun. Malah tokoh kesusasteraan kita, 'sasterawan negara' Allahyarham Tan Sri A. Samad Ismail juga telah ditahan di bawah ISA pada 1976. Bagaimana mungkin beliau boleh menjadi satu ancaman kepada keselamatan negara?Tidak perlulah saya mengingatkan anda mengenai impak dahsyat Operasi Lalang 1987. Kesannya menghantui Kerajaan sepertimana juga ia menghantui rakyat negara ini yang cintakan keamanan kerana ia menebarkan kegelapan ke atas setiap dari kita. Terdapat banyak soalan yang masih belum terjawab mengenai detik-detik gelap tersebut bila lebih daripada seratus orang telah ditahan kerana dikatakan menjadi ancaman terhadap keselamatan negara. Sebab mengapa mereka ditahan tidak pernah dinyatakan dengan jelas kepada rakyat Malaysia.

Begitu juga tiada penjelasan diberikan tentang sebab mengapa mereka tidak pernah didakwa di mahkamah. Termasuk dalam senarai mereka yang ditahan ini adalah beberapa Ahli Parlimen kanan pembangkang yang masih lagi aktif dalam Parlimen hari ini. Sesatunya perkara yang benar-benar jelas mengenai tempoh itu adalah UMNO pada waktu itu sedang berhadapan dengan satu krisis kepimpinan. Apakah ia bukan satu kebetulan yang tangkapan-tangkapan di bawah ISA baru-baru ini berlaku bila UMNO sekali lagi mengalami satu krisis kepimpinan?
Pada 2001, aktivis-aktivis 'reformasi' Keadilan telah ditahan dalam satu tindakan yang kemudiannya diisytiharkan sebagai dibuat secara tidak betul dan tidak sah oleh Mahkamah Persekutuan. Penahanan berterusan mereka yang tidak dibebaskan lebih awal di pusat tahanan Kamunting hanya dibolehkan kerana ISA telah dipinda dalam cara yang meragukan pada 1988 bagi tidak lagi membenarkan semakan kehakiman dibuat ke atas arahan Menteri untuk menahan. Rakyat Malaysia dimaklumkan bahawa tahanan-tahanan ini telah cuba menggulingkan Kerajaan melalui cara-cara militan dan demonstrasi-demonstrasi liar.
Tujuh tahun telah berlalu sejak kejadian ini berlaku tetapi hingga kini belum ada sebarang bukti bagi menyokong dakwaan ini dikemukakan. Menambahkan lagi kekeliruan rakyat, salah seorang daripada mereka yang dikatakan "ganas dan militan" itu ialah Ezam Mohamad Noor. Inilah orangnya yang baru-baru ini disambut kembali ke dalam UMNO dengan sambutan besar-besaran, seolah-olah ianya merupakan satu kejayaan besar.Lebih kurang pada masa yang sama, ahli-ahli PAS juga telah ditahan kerana dikatakan menjadi militan dan kerana kononnya mempunyai pertalian dengan rangkaian pengganas antarabangsa. Mereka yang ditahan itu termasuklah Nik Adli, anak kepada Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat Menteri Besar Kelantan. Kerajaan ketika itu berjanji akan mendedahkan kepada rakyat Malaysia mengenai bukti kegiatan-kegiatan ganas dan pertalian tahanan-tahanan ini. Sehingga sekarang tiada bukti sebegini pernah diberikan.Formula yang sama telah digunakan pada akhir 2007 bila 5 pemimpin HINDRAF ditahan. Rakyat Malaysia dimaklumkan sekali lagi bahawa individu-individu ini terlibat dalam aktiviti-aktiviti penggulingan Kerajaan dan mempunyai perkaitan dengan gerakan militan Pemisah Tamil Eelam Sri Lanka. Sehingga sekarang tiada bukti kukuh pernah dikemukakan bagi menyokong dakwaan ini.

Jadi apa yang boleh dilihat ialah kelima-lima mereka ditahan kerana melibatkan diri dalam aktiviti-aktiviti yang membawa kepada satu mobilisasi masyarakat India Malaysia bagi meluahkan secara aman kekecewaan mereka ke marginalisi yang dilakukan ke atas masyarakat mereka. Perjuangan ini kemudiannya telah diiktiraf sebagai satu perjuangan yang sah. Demonstrasi HINDRAF bukanlah sesuatu yang luar biasa kerana perhimpunan-perhimpunan seperti itu diiktiraf di seluruh dunia sebagai satu cara pernyataan yang sah.Dalam nada yang sama, asas-asas yang diberikan bagi menyokong penahanan terbaru Tan Hoon Cheng, Teresa Kok dan Raja Petra Kamarudin menimbulkan banyak persoalan. Penjelasan bahawa Tan Hoon Cheng ditahan bagi menjamin keselamatan dirinya adalah melucukan. Kenyataan bahawa Teresa Kok telah menyalakan sentimen-sentimen keagamaan juga adalah tidak berasas sebagaimana terbukti oleh pembebasannya selepas itu.Mengenai pengkritik tersohor Kerajaan, Raja Petra Kamarudin pula, semakan ke atas tulisan-tulisannya akan menunjukkan bahawa dia mungkin telah menghina Kerajaan dan individu-individu tertentu di dalam Kerajaan. Bagaimanapun, bersikap kritikal dan menghina tidak boleh dalam apa cara pun dianggap sebagai satu ancaman terhadap keselamatan negara. Jika tulisan-tulisannya dianggap menghina Islam, orang-orang Islam atau Nabi Muhammad (saw), dia sepatutnya didakwa di bawah Kanun Keseksaan dan bukannya ditahan di bawah ISA.

Apa pun, dia juga telah didakwa atas kesalahan menghasut dan melakukan fitnah jenayah berhubung dengan beberapa kenyataannya. Dia telah meminta dibicarakan, dan ini menunjukkan kesediaan serta kemampuannya untuk mempertahankan dirinya sendiri. Cara terbaik bagi memastikan keadilan terlaksana adalah dengan memberikannya peluang mempertahankan dirinya di mahkamah lebih-lebih lagi di mana dalam pandangan umum Kerajaan adalah dalam satu kedudukan konflik kerana telah menjadi sasaran kritikan kerasnya.Contoh-contoh yang diberikan di atas menjadi petanda jelas bahawa Kerajaan yang ada sekarang adalah sebuah Kerajaan yang tidak demokratik. Perspektif inilah yang telah sejak lebih 25 tahun lalu membawa kepada Kerajaan kelihatan dengan sewenang-wenangnya menahan musuh-musuh politik, pejuang-pejuang pertubuhan sivil dan kepenggunaan, penulis-penulis, usahawan-usahawan, pelajar-pelajar dan wartawan-wartawan yang kesalahannya, jika ia boleh dikatakan sebagai kesalahan, adalah bersikap kritikal terhadap Kerajaan. Bagaimana individu-individu ini boleh dianggap sebagai ancaman terhadap keselamatan negara adalah di luar dari kefahaman saya. Realiti yang terbukti adalah ketidaksetujuan yang dibuat secara sah telah dan sedang dikekang melalui penggunaan secara semberono ISA.Terdapat mereka yang menyokong dan memperjuangkan bacaan secara 'carte-blanche' ISA ini. Mereka akan berusaha untuk meyakinkan anda bahawa kepentingan-kepentingan negara memerlukan kuasa sebegitu dikekalkan dan bahawa keamanan dan kestabilan yang dinikmati rakyat Malaysia adalah disebabkan oleh kewujudan undang-undang seperti ISA ini. Ini bagaimanapun gagal mengambil kira fakta asas bahawa rakyat Malaysia dari semua kaum mengagungkan keamanan. Kita hidup bersama secara aman sejak 400 tahun lepas bukan kerana adanya undang-undang ini tetapi walaupun adanya undang-undang ini.Saya percaya rakyat negara ini sudah cukup matang dan bergeliga bagi membezakan di antara tindakan-tindakan yang merupakan satu ancaman 'sebenar' terhadap negara dengan tindakan-tindakan yang mengancam kepentingan-kepentingan politik. Rakyat Malaysia telah mengetahui bahawa ISA digunakan terhadap musuh-musuh politik dan kelihatannya bila kepimpinan sedang menghadapi cabaran sama ada dari dalam parti pemerintah sendiri atau dari elemen-elemen luar.Rakyat Malaysia hari ini mahu melihat sebuah Kerajaan yang komited terhadap proses mahkamah bagi menentukan kebersalahan atau ketidakbersalahan walaupun untuk tindakan-tindakan yang dikatakan mengapi-apikan sentimen perkauman atau keagamaan. Kini mereka tidak begitu mempercayai bahawa hanya seorang individu, iaitu Menteri Dalam Negeri, yang paling tahu mengenai soal-soal keselamatan negara walaupun mereka sebelum ini pernah mempercayainya. Mereka menghargai kebebasan dan perlindungan ke atas kebebasan-kebebasan sivil dan ini pun benar bagi rakyat negara-negara lain juga.YAB Perdana Menteri, keputusan-keputusan Pilihan Raya Umum lalu adalah petunjuk jelas bahawa rakyat Malaysia sedang menuntut satu pemulihan semula Kedaulatan Undang-Undang. Saya telah dilantik sebagai menteri yang bertanggungjawab ke atas hal ehwal undang-undang dan reformasi kehakiman, walaupun hanya sekejap. Dalam kapasiti itu, saya dapat memahami dengan lebih mendalam betapa ramai dari kita mahukan reformasi, bukan semata-mata atas kepentingan reformasi itu, tetapi atas tahap di mana institusi-institusi kita telah dilemahkan oleh kejadian-kejadian dan impak yang dihadapkannya kepada masyarakat.Dengan restu anda, saya telah cuba menggerakkan reformasi. Berada di atas dalam senarai keutamaan saya adalah satu pemulihan semula ke atas kuasa kehakiman (judicial review) yang boleh dilakukan melalui satu pengembalian semula satu peruntukan penting perlembagaan ke bentuk sebelum ia dipinda secara kontroversial pada 1988. Tidak perlulah saya mengingatkan anda bahawa pindaan perlembagaan itu didorong oleh satu siri peristiwa sama yang membawa bukan hanya kepada Operasi Lalang tetapi juga kepada pemecatan Ketua Hakim Negara dan dua Hakim Mahkamah Agung pada waktu itu.
Salah satu keutamaan saya ialah cara dalam mana bidang kuasa dan kuasa Mahkamah-Mahkamah untuk membuat pembetulan ke atas tindakan wewenang dan di luar perlembagaan Eksekutif telah dikeluarkan oleh Parlimen dan tahap di mana ini telah menyebabkan berlakunya kemerosotan ke atas kebebasan-kebebasan sivil rakyat Malaysia. Pindaan perlembagaan inilah yang telah membuka jalan kepada peruntukan 'ouster' dalam ISA yang secara efektifnya memberi imuniti kepada Menteri dari semakan kehakiman, di mana ini adalah satu peruntukan yang menjadi contoh betapa pindaan perlembagaan 1988 telah membuka ruang untuk berlakunya ketidakadilan.Saya juga telah cuba memperkenalkan cara-cara dengan mana langkah-langkah boleh diambil bagi membantu Kehakiman memperolehi semula reputasi kebebasan dan kecekapan yang pernah dipunyainya dahulu. Malangnya, ini dianggap tidak diperlukan oleh sesetengah pihak kerana Kehakiman yang bebas akan membawa makna Eksekutif akan menjadi kurang 'berpengaruh'.Saya telah cuba melakukan perkara-perkara ini dan perkara-perkara lain kerana menyedari Kedaulatan Undang-Undang dan tradisi-tradisi demokratik di Malaysia sedang terhimpit. Apa pun, tiada orang yang rugi dengan memberikan setiap rakyat negara ini sebuah Kehakiman yang bebas dan peluang ke atas satu perbicaraan yang adil. Ini adalah konsisten dengan norma-norma sejagat mengenai hak-hak asasi manusia dan ia juga adalah konsisten dengan ajaran-ajaran Islam, iaitu agama bagi Persekutuan.
Kuasa tidak terbatas untuk menahan atas kehendak seorang individu adalah penindasan yang paling tinggi. Malah, di Israel, iaitu sebuah negara yang sentiasa berada dalam keadaan berperang sekalipun, kuasa untuk menahan tidak diberikan pada seorang individu seperti di Malaysia dan arahan-arahan penahanan memerlukan pengesahan daripada seorang hakim.Jika terdapat pertimbangan-pertimbangan keselamatan negara, maka ini boleh ditangani tanpa mengenepikan kawalan-kawalan keselamatan yang dimaksudkan bagi melindungi rakyat dari dihukum secara tidak betul. Dalam bidang-bidang kuasa lain yang terlibat dalam konflik-konflik bersenjata, perbicaraan-perbicaraan dikendalikan secara sulit bagi membenarkan penelitian kehakiman dibuat ke atas bukti yang dianggap terlalu sensitif untuk didedahkan kepada umum bagi memenuhi kehendak-kehendak keadilan. Jika ini boleh dilakukan dalam bidang-bidang kuasa lain, mengapa tidak di sini di mana pertempuran bersenjata terakhir dapat kita saksikan, yang menjadi punca kepada wujudnya ISA, telah berakhir pada 1980-an?
Sebarang keraguan mengenai kerelevanan ISA dalam bentuknya sekarang sepatutnya sudah terhapus oleh rekomendasi Suruhanjaya Hak Asasi Manusia (SUHAKAM) bahawa ISA perlu dimansuhkan dan bahawa sebuah undang-undang anti-keganasan yang bersesuaian dengan masa kini perlu diluluskan bagi menggantikannya. Mengandungi satu klausa 'sunset' dalam masa asalnya, ISA tidak pernah dimaksudkan untuk menjadi satu ciri asas dalam landskap perundangan Malaysia.Melalui penggunaan berterusannya dalam cara yang diterangkan di atas dan berhadapan dengan sentimen umum, adalah natural bahawa ISA telah melekat di dalam fikiran orang ramai sebagai satu alat penindasan dan Kerajaan yang ada sebagai satu Kerajaan yang membuka ruang untuk berlakunya penindasan. Penggunaan berterusannya tidak menjadi petanda baik bagi sebuah masyarakat yang sedang berjuang untuk mencari tempatnya dalam arena global. Ia juga tidak menjadi petanda baik bagi demokrasi yang sangat penting bagi membolehkan kita membangun secara berterusan.YAB Perdana Menteri, saya mengingati dengan sangat jelasnya apa yang anda sebutkan dahulu, iaitu bahawa jika seseorang itu mempunyai kesempatan untuk melaksanakan apa yang baik dan betul untuk negaranya, maka dia mestilah melaksanakan tugasan itu. Saya sangat menghormati anda kerananya. YAB, anda masih lagi Perdana Menteri buat masa ini dan masih lagi mempunyai kesempatan untuk meninggalkan jejak anda dalam sejarah Malaysia. Saya menyeru anda berbuat begitu dengan memansuhkan terus ISA.Marilah kita cuba memenuhi janji yang dibuat oleh Perdana Menteri pertama kita yang dikasihi kepada rakyat negara ini.
