Maxis Undergraduate Scholarships - For STPM / A-Level Graduates

If either you or your parents are the Maxis postpaid subscriber, then this might be the one for you. Two rounds of interviews will be conducted for those who succeeded in first round of selection.

The criteria for this scholarships is quite simple:

• STPM - minimum 3 As or
• Matriculation / Diploma - CGPA 3.5 or above or
• A Levels - minimum 3 As or
• Australian TER - minimum 90.0 or
• Recognised foundation/Pre-university courses – equivalent to CGPA 3.5 or above or
• Current 1st or 2nd year university students must have a CGPA of 3.5 or above

Other requirements:

• Possess a good command of the English language, both written and oral;
• Team player;
• Excel in extra-curricular activities and sports; and
• Possess leadership qualities.

Applicants must be Malaysian citizens aged below 23 years old.

Applicants must not be bonded to any body and must have secured an unconditional offer letter from a local or foreign university prior to receiving the Maxis Undergraduate Scholarship award. Applicants currently in their 1st or 2nd year of undergraduate studies may also apply.

The local or foreign university must be recognised by the Public Services Department of Malaysia. For local universities, there is no restriction to field of studies; for foreign universities, preferred field of studies are those related to the telecommunications industry.

This website has been established in year 1989, providing thousands of STPM graduates with all the information they need about getting into Local University. This includes statistics of the scores or CGPA a non-bumiputra student needs to achieve in order to get a course they want. Although these info are only for reference and are NOT official data from the local uni itself, it reflects a pretty accurate reality of what has been happening all these years.

As everyone knows, STPM is a tough course, and not many can manage to score well in the end. STPM students, especially non-bumiputras, have to compete with hundreds of 4.0CGPA scorers from Matrikulasi and Mara, and hence, there is a unfair yet existing comepetition going on every year. 大山脚日新国民型中学于今日放榜的大马教育文凭中 成 绩 辉 煌，保持100% 及格率.日新国民型中学考生共有551名,其中有1名考生考获13科特优, 他是 罗 凯 文 同 学。
日新国民型中学考获12A 的有16名,11A的77名,10A的71名,9A的63名,8A的36名,7A的39名,6A的33名,5A的37名.日新国民型中学考获5A 以 上的 考 生共有373名,占总考生之67.70 %.
值 得 一 提 的 是 日新国民型中学 的 华 文 科 成 绩 特 出，打 破 历 年 的 记 录，共 有131 名 考 获A1。 这 是 历 年 来 最 优 异 的 成 绩。

STPM Results 2008 (2)

6 students scored 4.0 CGPA in SMJK Jit SIn Highschool for 2008's STPM, and one of them is Pei Hoon! Congrats! And Chow Chia Eu managed to score 5As and emerged as one of the best student in Penang! Congrats! And same to Yun Lee, Congrats!

However, overall results of STPM students all over the country this year recorded a significant decrease in term of the number of students scoring 4.0 CGPA. One thing to blame, PRIVATE COLLEGES!
