Once Again, Jit Sin Tops Penang
.
.
.
.
Yes. It's confirmed that SMJK Jit Sin has once again achieved its climax when our school appeared to be the BEST school in Penang for the recently released PMR results. Compared to other SMJKs, Jit Sin has recorded a total number of 180 students with 8As, 130 students with 7As and 75 people for 6As results. The passing percentage for the whole school is 99.82%, in which the 8As achievers alone had filled up 31.75% of the total. This has already proven that the retirement of Hwong Seng(ex-headmaster of SMJK Jit Sin) does not effect the excellent tradition of Jit Sin in topping the chart of government exams every year.
Besides, two Indian PMR candidates have also marked their incredible results in our school when Sang Geeta and Shalini both scored 7As and 6As accordingly.

Just for extra information, the bellow are the list of the well-known schools in Penang, Perak and Kedah, with their respective results :
.
.
SMJK Chung Ling Butterworth..........- 107 with 8As
Penang Chinese Girl School.................- 141 with 8As
SMJK Chung Ling Penang...................- 105 with 8As
SMJK Heng Ee.......................................- 27 with 8As
Chung Hua High School Penang..........- 20 with 8As
SMK Tunku Abdul Rahman(Jawi).....- 3 with 8As
SMJK Keat Hwa Kedah.......................- 135 with 8As
SMJK Hwa Lian....................................- 57 with 8As
SMJK Chio Min.....................................- 29 with 8As
SMJK Sin Min.......................................- 52 with 8As
.
.
.
Well at last, I do really hope that Jit Sin will again stay on the top of the list for the coming up SPM and STPM results which will be released soon. For this year's exam candidates especially those who are going to sit for STPM in november, Jia You and Good Luck!

Hillarious Karangan ; Don't Try This In STPM !

To score well in exam, you need 80% of effort and hardwork and 10% of genius. And how about another 10% ?Well I've just spotted a few photos in the internet that are really really funny. Trust me, they are all about writing a good Karangan. I dont think this guy did get "A" for his karangan (essay), but for sure what he wrote for the title "Keluarga Saya" is a masterpiece of Malaysian Education nowadays. So, the remaining 10% you need not just in exam, but also in life is the SENSE OF HUMOUR!!!!!!!!

Because of the poor resolution of the original photos, I will copy the contents and post it together with the pictures.

.
.
.
.

.

.

"Keluarga Saya"

Saya ingin menceritakan pula tentang keluarga saya.

(Comment from the marking teacher : Ceritanya keluar daripada tajuk)

Abang saya handsome atau kacak seperti Amilabh Bachan atau Sunjay Dutt, kadang muka dia berubah seperti Aacapan bila dia baru bangun tidur. Bila dia habis mandi muka dia macam muka dia sendiri. Itulah kelebihan abang saya.

.

.

.

.
.
.

Seterusnya saya menceritakan tentang adik saya. Walaupun saya tidak ada adik tetapi saya tipu kamu dengan mengatakan bahawa saya ada adik.

Demikianlah cerita tentang keluarga saya bahagia walaupun sebenarnya tidak. Sekian harap maklum.

Yang Ikhas:-
Bob

(Comment from the marking teacher : Dalam karangan biasa tidak perlu menggunakan bahasa diri ianya cuma untuk "surat lama")

The marks for this fabulous essay? 23% out of 100%.
*Clap Clap Clap*

The Year 2006 Campfire - COOL ! ! !

Time : 8.00p.m. - 12.00a.m.
Date : 15th December 2006
Venue : SMJK Jit Sin staff's carpark , Assembly Hall

Guess what this time? It was on Friday when I first attended the so-called campfire in our school. It was actually the 7th Jamboree Camp Campfire, but was later changed to the 1st Anual Camp. What I can tell all of you here is that, the campfire was absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!! To feed your eyes and to satisfy your mind, I've taken some nice photos around the school campfire site. Enjoy !

Registration At Gate 3
This surprised me alot. Just as I was stepping into the school building through the only entrace which is gate 3, I was blocked by two Kadet Police in charge. I thought they wanted to chase me away but actually they were asking me to register my name as a visitor of the campfire. I was then given a visitor pass. The camp site was empty, and this is not I was expecting to see. However when I was led by Chun Keat to the area near gate five then only i realised how many people that have attended the Jamboree Camp Campfire. Truly Amazing.
.
.
Everyone had to wear a visitor pass around their neck

"Interesting" Performance by All Uniform Bodies - Part I

Yup. It was "interesting". I didnt watch all the presentations but I was like more on looking for old friends. I met a few of them, some were our schoolmates and surprisingly, I banged on Kang Kai. Remember this guy? He was our "guardian" during the assembly. He is a really good boy and in my memory he never caught anyone of us for having long fingernails :P:P:P I have to admit that the performance at first was really really boring and maybe its because the lack of participation of the audiences. While not wasting my time, I tried to get near to the campfire, to see what was that. Well those person in charge of the programme didnt seem to be really friendly and I was forced to go away before I was "barked". So, I had no choice but to gather around with our minority classmate Quan-Senn and also Chee Hui. After a small chat, i decided to escape from school because of extreme boredom. As I was trying to climb over the gate 5, a tall man-in-black(he wasnt wearing a black suit but his skin was almost dark as charcoal) blocked my way out. Damn. Planning to get a shortcut out had failed. Well before I got myself into the school building again, here I met some really funny guys with stone age outfit... yeeeeeeks! And also a shape-deformed Doraemon appeared infront of me...Geeezzzz =.="
.
.
Demonstrating? Nah.

An Unknown stranger posing with our ex-class-guardian, Prefect Kang Kai.
The flame of campfire.
Warning : No Tresspasing. Tresspasers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again.
The Pre-historic outfit..... Hot !!!

Blush Blush Blush ........ Sudden Downpour !

Just a minute after I got under the roof, drops of rainwater started to hit the ground like bullets. Too bad, those guys needed to evacuate immediately to the plan-B campfire spot, which was the school assembly hall. Wahahahahaha..... The Doraemon was guided back to the building slowly because it couldnt even see its way out....The blue & white outfit was drenched with waters and try to have a look what happened to it later..(See Photos Below) WAHAHA....
.
.
Someone sprained his leg accidentally during the hot dance.

Ming Ming posing with the drenched Doraemon !

Interesting Performance by All Uniform Bodies - Part II

And now lines of campfire members marched into the school hall and waited for the next order. Well I didnt really understand why the seniors like shouting and screaming to their juniors but I realised that maybe its their culture to make people "clear" enough to their message when the juniors were actually replying their seniors in the same manner! I just couldnt imagine how if i speak to my mom in that tone ! That was really freaking me out.:S Soon there started a session where teachers were evaluating the uniform bodies. You should have came and see what was really happening that time. They were like demonstrating on the roadside and suddenly the light went off. They swung their torchlight and some small lightings to get the judge's attention. I fear that might ran amok and gangbang me, but i was wrong. They were perfectly normal after that:D lol Anyway, I was really happy to see the new generation of young Malaysian to have the ability to lead more demonstrations towards our corrupted government in the future...... Next to this was another dance show by some uniform bodies. They were really nice and a group of topless guys stole my attention. Cool their bodies were coloured and there are some prehistoric drawings on it. And also, I want to give *STAR STAR STAR* rating to the performance of both Kadet Polis Lelaki and Wanita.
.
.

Mr. Cheah Tim Tuck and Pn. Thesilla are evaluating the performance of each uniform body.

Argh.... The half-naked belly dancers.

Mr. Cheah Tim Tuck is passing over the trophy to the overall winner of 1st Annual Campfire, the Kadet Polis Lelaki.

Gosh I Was Crazy !

This was my first time watching the Jamboree Campfire show so I didnt feel that used to it. But soon after that, things got 360 degree turnover. Now the audience were invited to join the dance. I dont know what the real name for it but some people called it round dance. I was so indulged and the feeling wasnt something that I could depict in words or phrases. I had never experienced such occasion before and thus I never thought campfire as something fun. But things got really different when I became part of the activities. The dancing, singing and shouting are truly inspiring. Maybe this is what people call the "spirit" and I could feel that kind of forces that drove me into a crazy psycho. It was great! Together with me were Chee Hui, Chun Keat, Yivonne, Sharon, Yi Wern. We joined the Red Cresent colony and by that time I must say that everyone was really high. :P We put our hands on the shoulders of the person infront and ran around with weird patterns. I was really really enjoying my first time in the campfire.
.
.

The Emotional Ending

Well, after the dance, the MC was about to announce the winner of the Campfire Prize. Well of course Kadet Polis Lelaki won the overall prize, which is expected. I still can remember that KRS and Red Cresent Society both won prizes too. They were really good and I'm satisfy with the results. But this aint the best part of the whole drama. The emotional ending was actually took place when it was announced that the KAS (Kadet Alam Sekitar) was officially going to its end. This means that from now on there will be no more KAS in our school as a Uniform Body but just as an ordinary Persatuan. No more Campfire for them next year and the following years and no more marchings under the red hot sun with overwhelming spirits. These KAS members were wearing Orange Bands on their hands and some even tied it on the fore head to signify the cruel ending of their Uniform Body. Some of them led the KAS members to unite together for the one last time as team members, and some dropped their tears on each other's shoulders. It was so emotional then and I felt sad for them too although I am not a KAS member. Many other members of the campfire from other uniform bodies came forward to express their condolences. They were a really good and well-disciplined unit and they've had many gloriest moments as a member of SMJK JitSin. And now its all over for their efforts. Anyhow, for me, I can feel the inside and the helplessness inside everyone of the KAS member. They started as a team, and they ended it as a team too. They might not be able to work together as KAS member anymore, but the strength and the unseen spirit shall live forevermore.

.
.

Dramatic Ending : KAS members are sobbing during their last gathering

Regardless of who you are and where you are from, the essence of being together is to experience the bittersweet moments together.

Heading Back

Just as I headed back to the registration site by the same path I got to the campfire site, many undefined feelings wrestled my mind. So many thing and images crossed my eyes in a second and perhaps the night was so meaningful to me. And it was.

Quick News On Jit Sin Express

* Breaking News *

He Fell With Pride And Honour

Sri Pentas II, Shah Alam, 5th December 2006 - He passed through the first round and the second round. And again he triumphed the odds that lied ahead. Although he has just failed to get into the top 24 in Project Superstar, Lee Chun Keat will always be remembered as the first person from SMJK Jit Sin who had successfully battled to the third round or the top 50 of the singing competition. Lee captivated the attentions of the panel judges on his first attempt to win the crowd and the same thing happened when he went into top 100 of Project Superstar. His talents are so amazing that even the crews of the Project Superstar recognised Lee as the potential winner of Project Superstar in the future. Yet, his short-lived singing experience had finally ended here today as he has failed to qualify to the top 24 elimination round. All of us believe that Lee had given out his best shot and at the meanwhile proving that his efforts all along have not been futile. Lee Chun Keat has created a brand new page of the Jit Sin's history as he becomes the first person to have reached into the final 100 of Project Superstar (which includes the girl contestants) in our school. Lets us not be disappointed by his failure to get through the next round, but to cheer for his will and determination of becoming the best of the bests.

From all L6B1 classmates , " Chun Keat, we're so proud of you ! ".

Exclusive Interview With Lee Chun Keat - Pride of L6B1 !

This interview was conducted after C.K Lee had finally accepted our invitation to be interviewed.

Attention : The contents of this post is 100% original and genuine. No any part of the interview has been sensored or modified.

Time : 9.04 a.m.
Date : 4th November 2006 , Saturday
Location : Taman Impian ( which is C.K. Lee's house )
Persons involved : Lee Chun Keat , Che Guevara and Baby Shu Hui.

Note : The names of both the interviewer, Che Guevara, and Lee Chun Keat will be represented by C.G and Lee respectively.

C.G : Congrats. It's nice to hear that you've qualified for the next round of Project Superstar. First of all, how do you feel now and why did you join this audition ?

Lee : Thanks ! *chuckles* Definitely I'm happy and excited. I really didnt expect to get through because I joined this audition just for experience. Besides that, I thought of testing my singing skill and to see how far my talents can take me to.

C.G : Do you mind to share with us your experience in the audition ?

Lee : It's a great experience meeting people with passion for singing and made many friends. It was thrilling to see the behind scene of the real TV broadcasting progress. I met stars like Gary Yeap, John (The winner of Project Superstar 2005) , Winson, Regine and and a few other entertainers. I was not very nervous at first but as I stepped into the audition room, my heart was beating fast and furious. It's a feeling that you just cant simply express it with mere words. I started to sing my first song (关于你的歌) after introducing myself to the panel of judges. I was required to sing my self-composed song(阿笨的故事) by the judges. Although they didnt give much comments, from their face expressions I could see that they kinda enjoy it. Both of the song I sang with my guitar and the last song(爱的就是你), the judges asked me to sing without my guitar. The only comment they gave is that I should look at the camera more often instead of the floor ! *giggles* After I exit the audition room with the pass to the next round, many reporters approached me with their cameras and notepads. It's an experience that I've never had in my life and I quite enjoy that kind of feelings.

C.G : Looks like the media has made you so popular among the students, teachers, and even the aunties in the canteen. Does that affect you for example exerting more pressure on you?

Lee : *In deep thoughts for a few seconds* Indeed, the expectations of my friends made me want to do better to proceed to further rounds. Many friends congratulated me and I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to them. To my surprise, even the aunties in the canteen congratulated me ! *titters*

C.G : Who do you think has inspired you the most in singing? And what other talents do you possess other than that?

Lee : Oh, I started singing since young, in church. And I only started to learn that I can actually sing well when I was in secondary school. Perhaps that is one of the reason why I started to learn the guitar, so that I can get closer to music. To be frank, I sing for Him. I want to thank Him for giving me these talents. For your information, I master the acoustic guitar in only three months compared to others who take years. I know a bit of piano, bass guitar and drums too.

C.G : Did you expect get through to the next round of the audition on 25th November 2006 which will be held in Kuala Lumpur? And what are your expectations?

Lee : Seriously, I dont know. Although the media predicts that I could progress to the following rounds, but I still think that I have homework to do. I hope that I can be persistent in every performances and make sure I do my best. That's all I can say about it. * Quoted from Live TV Magazine : "....凭着自然帅气的外形和有气质的声音,轻易地俘虏了评审的心,非常有潜力进入24强......." *

C.G : What is your preparation for the next round?

Lee : Basically I download some chinese songs and ask my friends for the latest hits. I try to control my diet for example avoid cold drinks, though I do take it sometimes. *bursts into laughter* . I get advice from friends who sing well and practise singing once in a while. I think thats all.

C.G : We've learned that you're still studying. So, how are you going to cope with your studies if you qualified to further rounds? What would you choose, studies or entertainment field?

Lee : Definitely I will choose studies. I feel that studies provides a brighter future though I surrender to God's plan. Good allocation of time in both studying and singing could be the most significant way for me to do well in both. I think I will surely lose in studies if I did qualify to further rounds but thats just the price I need to pay, or you could call this the sacrifice of taking up this challenge. I guess this is the problem I need to figure it out as soon as possible. I believe that God will guide me through this challenge.

C.G : Who do you want to thank for the current success?

Lee : Again, I would like to thank my dear friends their persistent support, especially my L6B1 classmates and also fellow friends from L6B2. They are just great, for bearing me singing in class and Dewan Kuliah. Oh yea, I would also like to take this opportunity to apologize to a guy who felt disturbed when I was singing in Dewan Kuliah. Besides that, many of the seniors and juniors have also been very supportive, thank you!

C.G : Since you've been doing well in both academic and co-curricular activities, what advice do you have for young people nowadays?

Lee : As I can see, many of the youth nowadays waste their time involving themselves in Mat Rempit activities, gangsterism and other unhealthy activities. My advice is to save your precious time on some beneficial activities instead of smoking or taking drugs. For those students who are struggling with their academics, I would like to say to them " Study SMART, not HARD !", which means quality studying is better than studying blindly all the time. Besides, I would like to emphasize that studying is not everything. A man's life is not on studies alone. I hope that there will be no more NERDies in Jit Sin, but everyone is an all-rounder.

C.G : Last but not least, as a member of L6B1, do you have anything to tell your beloved soulmates?

Lee : If I was required to describe them in one word, it would definitely be " AMAZING "! My classmates and my class teachers are very supportive and never failed to give me their full morale supports and advice. And for me, I would like to call Bio One my second family. I love them so much, each and every one of them. I truly hope that our relationships as a family will be maintained till my dying days. FOREVER L6B1 ! *shouts out loud in a very high mood*

C.G : Haha.. Guess you love them alot indeed. Well I think thats all for this interview session and a thousand thanks to you for willing to spend your precious time with me. Wish you the best and we are anticipating great news from you. Till next time, adios.

Lee : You're welcome. I really enjoyed talking to you. See you.

There we are....

Bio One Gal-gals

Oh thank goodness... Ming Ming is leaving behind to clean up the BBQ aftermath !

The Flash Flood

Most of the people gathered at Lee Jie's house before six o'clock. Some of them were late, most probably because of the unexpected heavy downpour then. We later slowly got our foods, drinks and BBQ sets off the car, and arranged them nicely in the frontyard of the house. We expected the rain to stop before seven, however it didnt. Just as our Ex- Senior KRS Leader, Chong Pak Koon was trying to set up the fire for BBQ, the water level started to rise continuously and eventually, within a few minutes the water came into the frontyard of the house. The host had to make a very crucial decision at that time, whether to cancel the well-planned party or not. Anyhow, the first thing we had to do was to move away our cars to higher ground because by that time, what we could see was all the cars parked outside the house had already been partially submerged by water. Seriously, submerged by water ! Sources revealed that car belonged to Vivian Tan was entered by water, but luckily she managed to move away her car safely to somewhere else. We quickly packed all the stuffs back into our cars......

Plan-B

Thank goodness. Chyn Boon from our class, had offered us her house for the gathering. That was a surprise for everyone of us. At first we thought we will had to head back to our own house, but luckily, she led us back to her house. While most of the classmates were evacuated from the flooded area, a few boys left back to help Lee Jie putting on metal plate on the doors to avoid the water from getting into the house. After that, together with class monitor, assistant class monitor, Ex-SKRSL and a plate of French fries, we headed toward Taman Belimbing.

New Place

Finally. Finally, we can all settled in a "flood free zone". And of course, the party went on smoothly. Everyone was served with plentiful of foods and drinks. And again, we ignited the flame on BBQ set and there started the grillings of chicken meat and sausages. As far as I could remember, there were fried bee hun, sausages, crab sticks, chee cheung fan, home-made cheese cake, fishballs, fresh chicken meat, corn, rojak, fresh fruits, french fries, crackers, nuggets, home-made fruit jelly, Sun-Quick punch and many many many other dishes. During the few hours of gathering, we have had great fun. We chatted alot, we played together and share great moments together. Some went watching TV at the living room and some sat around the red-hot coal to BBQ.......

11.00pm

Oopsss...... It was eleven then. Time to go home. But before that, everyone got to take a photo together. Truly memorable. This was our first gathering as members of Lower Six Biology One, and this gathering was a huge success.

I would like to use this opportunity to thank the two girls that had provided us the BBQ spots, and also to everyone that had participated in the preparation for the gatherings. I'm anticipating for another similar class party.........:P

Jit Sin Express - Bio One .......... LAUNCHED !!!

Hi everyone. Its so nice for me to be able to start a blog on my own school, SMJK Jit Sin, at last. I use the title "Jit Sin Express - Bio One" because this blog is just like a daily which reports the latest and updated topics in my school, and sometimes from my class .
I thought of initiating this blog to increase the participation of our own school students in the discussions about the latest issues in this National Type secondary school. And for me, as a student, there are always some interesting events happening around. Some other people might not be able to experience the joy and excitement that school life could bring to us. So, I hope that through this blog, things can be discussed from different point of view, whether of a student or not. And in this blog, we will no longer seeing things through a disciplinary prism, which has been the stereotype perspective of a typical Jit Sinese. Bofore I start posting anything in this blog, I just wanna make it clear to the school administrator that we, the students of Jit Sin want a reformation, and perhaps I shall call it an evolution.

This blog is dedicated to my fellow L6B1 classmates and all other friends. Thank you.
